Job Description:

• Operation of main plant equipment to support production process, (Turbine, Boiler, Generator, Pumps, Compressor, etc), to support plant production activities and ensure all works are done properly and safe as required.
• Pre start-up check Turbine, Compressor, Lube Oil, Cooling Tower Fan, Pumps, etc
• Daily surveillance of condition and performance of the equipment.
• Check and control the field situation by doing inspection and field visit, to ensure system and process in the condition as reported.
• As person in charge of his assigned plant during normal and incident operation.
• The main plant Operator may operate on the plant or equipment with the agreement of the Shift Leader, Unit Controller & Assistance Unit Controller.
• Provides a field supervision service to outside the control rooms during normal and incident operation.
• Will assist the Unit Controller & Assistance Unit Controller during planned start-ups. This role is dependent on the number and urgency of technical problems existing at the time.
• To provide safe and efficient operation of the plant/equipment and liaise with other personnel to achieve objectives.
• Ensure that production targets for the shift are achieved safely, economically, and within the environmental limits of the Plant.
• Ensuring that plant operator perform their routine plant check in a satisfactory manner, that plant testing, plant isolations and de-isolation (As authorized person ) are carried out, and that any additional plant check authorized by him are carried out.
• Operate the equipment from local control room with guidance from Shift Leader, Unit Controller & Assistance Unit Controller.
• Provide daily report to the Shift Leader, Unit Controller & Assistance Unit Controller and ensure there are no problems or anomalies in Main Plant.
• Check and control the field situation by doing inspection and field visit, to ensure system and process in the condition as reported.
• Analyze problems and find the solution by coordinating with CCR, to ensure minimum impact of the trouble.

• Conduct the plant routine testing regularly to ensure system reliability.
• Coordination and follow of commissioning, re-commissioning and performance tests of unit/plants in regards to outage planning and periodical performance monitoring.
• Main plant Operator as authorized person for preparation of PTW and associated documents, on field implementation of isolation.
• Participate to implement the policy of quality, safety & health and environment within the company.
• To aware QEHS policy, objectives (KPI) and program to achieve them.
• To contribute to the effectiveness of QEHS management system.
• To take action to fulfil the QEHS compliance.
• To control QEHS performance for outsourcing, procurement and contractors.
• Taking responsibility and accountability for the prevention of work-related injury and ill health, as well as the provision of safe and healthy workplace and activities.
• To manage action to adress risk and opportunity of quality, environmental, security and OHS related to area/ process including quality risk, environmental aspect-impact and OHS Hazards and risk.
• understand and support the implementation of energy saving;
• To ensure the participation and consultation of worker in : Emergency Respond and Preparedness, Nearmiss or Hazards and Environmental Observation, Hazards/ Aspects/ Process failure including identification and mitigation correction and corrective action.

Requirements :

• Holding Diploma / Bachelor Degree (D3/S1) – having 3 years working experiences in the power plant as Operator/Technician or Fresh Graduate are welcome.
• Ability to understand procedures and instructions (procedures, drawings, instruction manuals) specific to the assigned area and ability to work well with others and self directed;
• Ability with strong communication skills; with ability to use computers (MS Office Suite, emails, CMMS, other software’s)
• Having knowledge in Fire Protection and Fire Fighting
• Having knowledge about the electrical (high voltage), mechanical (bear, hydraulic, rotating system)
• Having knowledge about I&C, DCS, PLC
• Willing to work on shift basis regardless to holiday or public holidays
