The Work Location: The position will be situated in Alam Sutera, Tangerang area, all applicants will be processed accordingly.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop tools and automation processes to facilitate seamless customer migrations from other database systems such as MSSQL and Firebird to PostgreSQL.
• Perform performance tuning and optimization of database queries, schemas, and configurations
• Develop and implement robust data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime.
• Implement and maintain database security measures, including user access management, encryption, and masking/obfuscating of production data for testing, to protect sensitive information.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement efficient data models, schemas, and indexing strategies.
• Work closely with Product/Platform teams to ensure smooth deployment and integration of databases in public cloud environments (Azure).
• Automate routine tasks and develop scripts and tools to streamline database administration processes and enhance operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and providing timely technical support.

Your Profile:

• Proven work experience as a Database Administrator, preferably with a focus on PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts, with hands-on experience in database design, refactoring, and performance tuning.
• Solid experience in Linux/UNIX environments and database operations in containerized environments.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and infrastructure automation tools (e.g. Provisioning with Terraform, Package mgmt. with Helm).
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (pref. Azure)
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Language:

• Fluent communication is English
• Proficiency in German (desirable)
