Purpose and Scope                                                         

The ideal candidate will have a track record as a significant individual contributor as well as a strong team player – comfortable working as a leader, supporting a team, and working closely with the management teams to drive strategic initiatives.

This role will work closely with business development and engineering to drive the growth of Sembcorp Indonesia’s Renewable Energy Solutions. The candidate will get the opportunity to learn in-depth on the commercial and investment aspects of renewable energy business. He or she will learn how to build financial models to support the evaluation of investments in Renewable Energy. He or she will also be supporting in the drafting of investment papers. The candidate can expect a highly rewarding experience and growth in a fun and flat environment.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of Investment papers for Renewable projects in Indonesia
• Prepare cashflow-based financial model for renewable energy projects and assets
• Review assumptions and inputs used for the financial model
• Provide first cut assessment of potential projects brought by the Indonesian BD Team
• Portfolio tracking of Sembcorp’s renewable assets in Indonesia including financial performance through its life cycle
• Carry out desktop research on development in the Indonesian Power and Renewables market
• Provide periodic updates on developments in Indonesia Power and Renewables market
• Assist with strategy formulation and drafting of annual strategy paper
• Support with connecting with local financial institutions
• Support with annual budgeting for local office

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Business/Finance/Accounting or equivalent.
• Having 3-4 years of working experience
• Relevant experience in renewable or similar roles is advantageous
• Able to build Financial Model preferred
• Ability to understand Financial Statements required

Preferred Skills & Characteristics

• Professional Proficiency in English
• Intermediate Excel and Basic PowerPoint required
• Able to adapt to a fast paced and multinational culture environment
• Energetic and highly motivated self-starter, with the ability to work towards tight deadlines
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and results-focused
• Interest in Renewable Energy
