About the role

In this role, you will:

•   Demonstrated experience in the operation and design of enterprise level applications & systems
  • Experience with modern web and database development
  • Experience with development of modern mobile applications
  • Several years’ experience in leading software projects and responsibility for overall delivery
  • Experience working within a team environment in mentoring and developing other members
  • Experience with modern web and database development
  • Experience working within environments that encompass cloud-based technologies
  • Experience with working in an environment that is tracked via an incident management tool

About you

• University degree in Information Technology.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a software development role
  • Aptitude in architecting software and designing technical solutions
  • Experience with source code control (Git), code review workflows, and software versioning models; And specifically, with reviewing the code of other team members, providing them feedback, and maintaining the repositories
  • Familiarity with a structured/controlled development environment using a tracking tool (Azure DevOps Boards, JIRA, etc): reviewing the backlog, working with stakeholders on prioritisation, allocation to team members; and organising releases
  • Familiarity with a structured/controlled development lifecycle using a CI / build / release process (Azure DevOps Pipelines, Bamboo, etc)
  • Proficiency with writing and maintaining technical documentation via a shared portal (Azure DevOps Wiki, Markdown, Confluence, etc), and actively reviewing team members contributions
  • Ability to help create a functional specification by guiding non-technical staff
  • Ability to work from a functional specification and create a technical specification, that other team members can work from
  • Strong debugging skills and proficient software testing
  • Demonstrated experience in common mobile development technologies such as:  Abstraction Frameworks, such as Ionic, Cordova, Xamarin, Native Apps, running on iOS, Android, Progressive Web Apps (PWA), Mobile Device Management (MDM) such as MS Intune, o App Stores: rules/processes, publishing, delivery
• Demonstrated experience in common programming technologies such as: C#, ******* & .NET Core, SQL Database, Data migrations, Web UI and responsive design: HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, Modern Javascript Frameworks such as: Vue, Angular, React,  Web Services (REST/SOAP), APIs, XML
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Database technologies such as: SQL Server 
• • Reporting Services, Analysis Services (tabular), Power BI
  • Replication Services, or data synchronisation technologies
  • Exposure to software development within the Microsoft Azure stack, and related services and technologies o CI/CD Pipelines (Azure DevOps) such as: Azure SQL Databases, Data Factory, Analysis Services, Elastic Jobs/Queries, App Services / Web Jobs, Function Apps, Logic Apps, API Management, Azure AD authentication, Managed Identities, Key Vaults, Storage Accounts: Blobs/Queues/Tables, App Insights, Virtual/Hybrid Networking & Gateways: connecting on-prem and cloud services
