About the role

This person will be accountable to manage and provide leadership to the operations of project(s) to ensure delivery within time, quality and budget to the client’s valid requirements.

In this role, you will:

• Lead, organise and provide direction for employees to ensure outstanding performance is achieved in people performance, HSE&Q outcomes and the business results.
• Participate with new business management in the positioning of the company in a favourable manner with potential clients.
• Coordinate or participate when required in the preparation of bids which are designed to secure profitable business for the unit.
• Overview the process of procurement and selection of subcontractors ensuring the companies standards for OHS&E, quality, and cost, etc are maintained.
• Manage planning & programming activities to ensure the most efficient use of resources and the completion of the project in accordance with contract requirements.
• Ensure the declared margin is achieved and further profit opportunities are maximised.
• Advise on time, cost and technical improvements to achieve client’s desired construction outcomes.

About you

• Bachelor degree in civil engineering with 20 years experiences as same level in a Contractor on major projects.
• Possess a highly developed commercial insight honed through extensive line management experience at senior levels on projects of various sizes.
• A proven talent for identification and management of opportunities and risks by overlaying contractual, financial and technical awareness in a similar operating environment is essential.
• Outstanding leadership credentials and the ability to drive results will set the successful candidate apart from industry peers.
