Position: Engineering Manager

Working arrangement: Hybrid

Location: Global Development Hub Jakarta.

About the Role:

You are a highly skilled and experienced Engineering with team-growth mindset at the core and are completely unafraid to test new techniques, methods and ways of working for better collaboration. You will serve as the leader for the engineering team, overseeing the development, integration, and operation of our leading Leads Management System into the GDH framework. You will also advise and collaborate closely with the System Architect to ensure the implementation of robust and scalable architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management: 

• Serve as the leader for the engineering team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. 
• Develop team capabilities through mentorship, training, and continuous feedback. 
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team and with other stakeholders. 

Project Management and Execution: 

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines. 
• Apply practical project management techniques to ensure efficient progress. 
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure successful outcomes. 

Technical Oversight: 

• Collaborate closely with the System Architect to ensure the implementation of robust and scalable architectures. 
• Provide technical guidance and support to the development team. 
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to established standards. 

System Optimization and Performance: 

• Identify opportunities for system optimization and performance enhancement. 
• Implement effective strategies for scalability, reliability, and security. 
• Monitor system performance and address any issues promptly. 

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, operations, and other engineering teams. 
• Communicate project status, challenges, and achievements to stakeholders. 
• Engage with external partners and vendors as needed. 

Qualifications: 

Human Skills:

Technical Skills: 

• Deep understanding of software development lifecycles (e.g., Lean, DevOps, Scrum, Kanban). 
• Strong knowledge of software development and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).  
• Proficiency in at least one backend programming language (NET, PHP) and Vue.js. 
• Strong understanding of API integration and management, particularly in a multi-system environment. 
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies. 
• Experience in designing a secure cloud infrastructure and secure coding practice. 
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture. 

Education and Experience: 

• Proven experience in leading engineering teams and managing large-scale software development and system integration projects.  
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in software engineering, product development and project management. 
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience with leads management and data analytics systems. 
• Familiarity with processes and key players in the construction industry. 
• Certifications in relevant technologies, software development and project management.
