Geekhunter is hiring on behalf of our client, an Indonesia’s leading independent brewery, developing and distributing a distinctive range of beer brands for the national and international markets.

Job Description:

• Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure effective execution of engineering projects and maintenance activities.
• Develop and implement engineering strategies, plans, and policies to optimize manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and reduce downtime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and supply chain, to drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance overall operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including health, safety, and environmental regulations, in all engineering activities.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment, coordinating with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and maximize equipment uptime.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess the condition and performance of equipment, identifying areas for improvement and implementing preventive maintenance strategies.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve manufacturing efficiency, equipment reliability, and product quality.
• Collaborate with R&D teams to support the development and introduction of new products or processes, ensuring manufacturing capabilities and requirements are met.
• Manage engineering budgets, including capital expenditure projects, cost control, and resource allocation.
• Stay up to date with technological advancements and industry best practices, implementing new technologies and methodologies to drive process improvements and enhance productivity.

Job Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in mechanical, Manufacturing, or industrial engineering, is typically required. A master’s degree in engineering or a related field may be advantageous.
• Significant experience in engineering management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the alcohol beverage industry or a related industry such as food and beverage and FMCG with a Proven track record of managing engineering teams, implementing process improvements, and driving operational excellence.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and automation systems relevant to the alcohol beverage industry. Familiarity with brewing, fermentation, distillation, or bottling processes is highly desirable.
• Thorough understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to the alcohol beverage manufacturing industry. Experience in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and implementing safety programs.
• Excellent leadership and management abilities to effectively lead and motivate a team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. Strong problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and drive operational efficiency.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies to effectively plan, execute, and monitor engineering projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget and quality standards.
• Strong analytical skills to analyze production data, identify trends, and implement data-driven solutions to improve manufacturing performance and quality.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners. Ability to collaborate and build relationships to drive alignment and achieve operational goals.
• A proactive attitude towards identifying opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and quality improvement. Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing circumstances. Resilience to handle and resolve operational challenges effectively.
