Job Description;

–          Ensuring the interfaces between engineering disciplines.

–          Performing engineering reporting to the Project Director/Project Manager and the

Management.

Managing the Technical/Engineering relationship with engineering Dept, client and Vendors.

–          Performing the interface with the project manager and the interface with the customer.

–          Managing the design issues with the sub-contractors and ensuring compliance with the client design.

–          Interpreting designs and helping the design team produce working or production drawings effectively

–          Being accountable towards the budget of hours given to realize the studies with high level of quality and safety

–          Participate in design meetings and provide continual input to optimize design and minimize futile work.

–          Assist in developing design delivery schedule along with client, project manager, design managers and consultants.

–          Manage distribution and production of project workload within team.

–          Manage and maintain record keeping of project.

–          Project prioritization of design, assignment and management to designers.

–          Participate in project department strategic planning.

–          Organize and direct all engineering forces in the project organization.

–          Assist the Project Manager with the resolution of engineering issues and determination of solutions.

–          Coordinate engineering matters with the contractor and subcontractors.

–          Establish design engineering procedures.

–          Participate in weekly project meetings with Client and Vendors.

–          Review and approve engineering documents i.e. drawings, specifications and requisitions.

–          Plan and direct receiving, distribution, and filing of drawings and specifications through the Document Controller.

–          Assure the latest drawings and other engineering documents are maintained and accessible to all personnel in the offices.

–          Assure the drawings and other engineering documents issued accessible to all concerned personnel on site.

–          Assure development of complete engineering records for the project record.

–          Authorize requisitions for materials and subcontracting in regard to technical matters.

–          Report change/supplemental work related to engineering to the Control Group.

–          Prepare description of change proposal related to engineering scope.

–          Ensure that engineering work proceeds in accordance with the quality assurance plan.

–          Review all non-conformance and concession reports.

–          Prepare the disposition plan for non-conformance items, in accordance with the QA/QC procedure and authorizes disposition plan.

–          Interpret designs drawings and specifications and provides technical advice to construction department and QA/QC department explaining requirements of engineering and design specifications consistent with good construction practice.

–          Answer the queries raised by construction personnel to support construction program.

–          Coordinate turnover procedure efforts among all parties concerned, including compilation of the documents required for facilities turnover to the client.

–          Quick problem-solving ensures construction progresses to the standards and requirements despite unforeseen obstacles.

–          Ability to develop a contingency plan for high-risk tasks.

–          Align works with construction phases to avoid rework.

–          Involve process engineers during early construction phases.

–          Close collaboration with other engineering disciplines, construction engineers solve complex challenges, contributing to the success of constructions.

–          Day-to-day tasks to delivering long-term operational success, construction engineers bridge the gap between design plans and on-site execution.

–          Have a good and clear communication with co – workers, client and suppliers ensure timely deliveries and installations and or with diverse teams

–          Problem solving such as ability to identify and solve complex technical challenges

–          Proficiency in engineering design software, structural analysis software and relevant engineering tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)

·       Develop architectural design concepts, layouts, and good understandings of drawings

·       Develop detailed schedules to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.

·       Verify compliance with design specifications and quality standards.

·       Use inspection checklists to systematically monitor site quality.

·       Use project management tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project to track progress will be advantage
