Overview: 

The Engineering and Maintenance Manager for Explosives in Indonesia is responsible for overseeing all engineering and maintenance activities across multiple sites, including the management of engineering projects, budgets, and the operation of emulsion manufacturing plants and mobile emulsion manufacturing equipment. This role requires travel to remote locations and periods away from home.

Key Responsibilities:

Engineering Project Management: 

• Plan, coordinate, and manage engineering projects from inception to completion. 
• Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. 
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies. 
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and procurement, to ensure project alignment and support. 

Maintenance Management: 

• Oversee the maintenance of emulsion manufacturing plants and mobile emulsion manufacturing equipment. 
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime. 
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and operational issues. 
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations. 

Budget Management: 

• Develop and manage the engineering and maintenance budget. 
• Monitor expenditures and ensure cost-effective solutions are implemented. 
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management. 

Technical Expertise: 

• Maintain a deep understanding of the mechanics and operation of emulsion manufacturing plants and equipment. 
• Provide technical guidance and training to engineering and maintenance teams. 
• Stay updated on industry developments and emerging technologies. 

Site Management: 

• Oversee operations at multiple remote sites, ensuring efficient and effective management of resources. 
• Coordinate site activities, including logistics, procurement, and workforce management. 
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. 

 Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical preferred) or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus. 
• Minimum of 8  years of experience in engineering and maintenance management, Preferably in the explosives or mining industry.
• Proven experience in managing engineering projects and budgets. 
• Strong knowledge of emulsion manufacturing processes and equipment. 
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. 
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. 
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
