About the role

We are seeking an experienced Customs and Export-Import Supervisor to join our dynamic team at PT Shangyang Technology Indonesia, a leading provider of innovative technology solutions. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the company’s import and export operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant customs and trade regulations. This is a crucial position that will contribute directly to the success and growth of our business in Cikupa, Banten.

What you’ll be doing

Manage the end-to-end import and export processes, including customs clearance, documentation, and logistics coordination

Ensure all shipments comply with applicable customs laws, regulations, and trade policies

Liaise with government agencies, customs brokers, and logistics providers to streamline import and export procedures

Analyse and interpret trade data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings

Train and supervise the customs and trade compliance team to maintain high standards of operational efficiency

Stay up-to-date with changes in customs regulations and trade agreements, and communicate updates to the broader organisation

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies that enhance the company’s import-export capabilities

What we’re looking for

Minimum 5 years of experience in a customs, import, or export supervisory role, preferably within the manufacturing, transportation, or logistics industry

In-depth knowledge of import/export regulations, customs procedures, and trade compliance requirements

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex customs and trade issues

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with a focus on continuous process improvement

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as logistics, supply chain management, or international business
