The opportunity
The Distribution Compliance Analyst has an intermediate level role who is responsible for recommending and establishing internal procedures for the development, implementation and maintenance of compliance programs to manage risk associated with the distribution of insurance products across all distribution channels of PT Asuransi Jiwa Manulife Indonesia, including its Sharia Unit and Dana Pensiun Lembaga Keuangan Manulife Indonesia (DPLK MI) (“Manulife Indonesia”).
This position is responsible to assuring that:
Compliance policies and procedures are designed and communicated through all distribution channels to prevent illegal or unethical conduct. Compliance with policies and procedures are monitored, audited and enforced. Important issues and update is well-communicated to the company’s management, to be aware of all the business updates and issues. Conduct regular analysis reports to have a clear consolidated dashboard and information delivery to all related business unit and management. Work closely with Senior Distribution Compliance & Distribution Compliance Officer to produce a valuable result with detailed and comprehensive records of each initiatives, issues and projects undertaken.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities 1
Responsible to involve for the overall development, design, reporting, distribution and implementation of new product for the effective management of distribution compliance risks within Manulife Indonesia it includes:
- Involvement in early stage for development process of all products as part of product governance.
- Identify, assess and address product risk & clear documentation as part of Product Risk Review and Approval.
- Perform checking on the Distributor onboarding and ongoing oversight.
- Perform monitoring on all distributors of Manulife products and/or services to ensure they are appropriately trained.
- Perform checking to ensure a standard of conduct that is consistent with Manulife’s code of business conduct and ethics.
- Perform supervision on the Marketing material, social media use and monitoring on social media account.
Responsibilities 2
- Perform checking on the risk Appetite Statements on key compensation risks.
- Perform review on regular basis the Agency and Bancassurance compensation playbook to ensure it remains reasonably designed to align with risk appetite and should be updated to reflect any material findings or corrective action plans.
- Perform initial Agency and Bancassurance compensation reviews (Dummy risk, other perverse incentives, see also Product).
- Support the data and analysis for Compensation Committees to ensure holistic and independent reviews of Agency and Bancassurance compensation proposals.
- Perform Agency and Bancassurance Contract Review initial process (for claw back, etc.)
- Collaborate with all members of Distribution Compliance Unit to conduct training for distributors.
- Support the robust Agency and Bancassurance supervision frameworks, including coaching, span of control, etc.
Responsibilities 3
- Perform monitoring and issuance of remediation of any misconduct detection.
- Support the data and analysis for Marketing Office Visit and Quality Assurance Program for Bancassurance Channel.
- Responsible to handle, maintain and report the non BAU projects and issues, e.g.:
- OJK Customer Complaint Escalation
- Internal Audit for Distribution Channel
- Regional and/or Local Projects on Distribution Monitoring Tools Systems
- Morbidity Cadence
- RCSA Review and Monitoring
- Other Distribution Channels Initiatives.
- Ensure proper record-keeping of data collected and analyzed
- Provide required data and information to support regular reporting to OJK, Management of Manulife Indonesia, Asia Segment Compliance and other related stakeholders in timely basis

What we are looking for

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (Law or any related degree)
Professional/Trade Qualification
Certified in insurance award is a plus (ex: LOMA)
Experiences
Minimum 4-5 years in Financial Industry
(Especially in Business Quality, Risk, Compliance or Audit Related)
Computer Proficiency
Advanced user of Microsoft Office
Others (Specific Requirements)
- Good administration skill
- Insurance product and/or distribution compliance knowledge is a plus
- Familiar with OJK Regulations & Procedure in Indonesia
- Team player, tech-savvy, and self-starter
- Excellent ability to speak and write in English
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
