Director 

Job Summary:

a. Business Development and Management

  • Identify growth opportunities, develop partnerships, and negotiate contracts with clients, -municipalities, businesses, and other stakeholders. Expand service offerings and market presence.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the company’s goals and objectives in waste management, recycling, and sustainability initiatives
  • Directors should continuously evaluate and refine business development strategies based on feedback, performance metrics, and market dynamics
  • Enhance market competitiveness by improving technical understanding and contributing to the achievement of an efficient business system.
  • Manage budgets, control costs, and optimize financial performance through efficient resource allocation, revenue generation, and expense management.

b. Marketing and building strategic partnership

  • Identify potential strategic partners, including waste management companies, technology providers, government agencies, and environmental organizations.
  • Negotiate and establish partnerships to expand service offerings, access new markets, and enhance competitive advantage.
  • Define and communicate the company’s value proposition, mission, and brand identity to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop marketing strategies to promote company services, differentiate from competitors, and capture target markets.
  • Develop marketing collateral, sales presentations, and promotional materials to effectively communicate the company’s value proposition and offerings.
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns, advertising initiatives, and public relations efforts to raise brand awareness and visibility.

c. Monitoring and Reporting  

  • Define and implement relevant KPIs for various aspects of the waste management business, such as operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and financial performance. – Obliged to maintain regular communication with technical advisors and partner organizations. 
  • Regularly track and monitor performance metrics against established KPIs to assess progress, identify trends, and measure the effectiveness of operational activities.
  • Prepare comprehensive and insightful reports summarizing key findings, trends, and recommendations for senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Participate in monthly meetings

3) Qualification of the Job

EducationA bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, waste management, business administration, sustainability, or a related field can be advantageous.Work ExperienceSubstantial experience (5 years or more) in leading a private business is required. Experience in the waste management industry or related sectors is an advantage. Leadership SkillsLeadership abilities, including experience managing teams, setting strategic direction, and achieving organizational goals. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to motivate and inspire others, and effective communication skills are essential.Financial AcumenStrong financial management skills, including budgeting, financial analysis, cost control, and revenue generation. Experience with financial reporting, forecasting, and contract negotiation is beneficial.Strategic Planning and Business DevelopmentAbility to develop and implement strategic plans, identify growth opportunities, and expand market presence. Experience in business development, client relationship management, and contract negotiation is advantageous.Market ResearchAbility in conducting comprehensive market research to identify potential partners and buyers in target markets. This includes understanding industry trends, competitor analysis, regulatory requirements, and emerging opportunities.
