Role Responsibilities Strategy

  • Awareness and understanding of the Group’s business strategy and model appropriate to the role
  • Coordination of customer relationships and build effective long-term relationship with major onshore clients
  • Support the identification of customer and origination opportunities for Financial Markets transactions and to drive the business within the bank’s directed strategy and to continue to drive the business forward striving for sustainable competitive advantage and profitability
  • Identification of in-country competitive threats and market opportunities, to feed into product strategy

Business

  • Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates
  • To effectively manage all aspects and customer relationship of Financial Markets business in country. 
  • To work effectively with other departments (CIB and other relevant departments) in Indonesia and other countries.
  • To support and participate in pipeline meeting and other internal meeting and reporting.

Processes

  • Cultivate and maintain a personal working relationship with the decision maker (s), through systematic calling, visits, entertainment, etc. such that SCB can position itself as a lead bank for them. 
  • Keep abreast with the latest market conditions and trends and use them to make informed dialogue with customers concerning their risk exposures and how FM products can help them manage their exposures.
  • Improve the revenue performance of customers under individual and team portfolio with a view to increasing their use of FM products beyond FX and upgrading their tiering position with us.
  • Monitor the credit risk exposure of each customer and ensure adequacy of FX limit prior to closing a deal and be proactive in alerting RM of needs for higher limits as business shows growth potential.
  • Maintain open communication with product partners on pricing competitiveness business giving feedbacks from customers and having on-going discussions on hit miss ratio and ways to improve the hit ratio.
  • Establish new relationship among the Financial Institutional clients, and work to upgrade their tiering position with us through revenue performance and quality business.
  • Liaise with CIB-FI RMs concerning joint account profiling, calling and overall management of existing as well as target relationships.
  • Enlarge our market share and entrance competitiveness in service and professional expertise.
  • Establish and maintain a network of relationships with other FM Team.
  • Facilitate the sale of FXRC products, both plain vanilla and structured.
  • Provide feedback on the market and the business to the traders and management through regular business reports or meetings

Risk Management

  • Ensure that risk assurance process is in place across FM business to provide evidence of pro-active risk management of the Risk Type and compliance with policy
  • Ensure that any risk issue is raised to the relevant committee or forum
  • Ensure that all compliance and local regulatory requirements are met as relates to FM.

Governance 

  • Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group’s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas. 
  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
  • Anti-Money Laundering Prevention:
  • Ensure the development, implementation, maintenance and monitoring of procedures and controls are in compliance with the requirements of Group Policy and Standards, local laws and regulations.
  • Ensure that appropriate internal controls are in place and operating effectively.
  • Ensure all Unit staff is adequately trained.
  • To fully comply with group Policy and Standard on Money Laundering Prevention or local regulatory requirements for the prevention of Money Laundering.

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.

Other Responsibilities

  • FM Front Office Supervisor Responsibilities
  • This role has been identified as a Financial Markets ‘Front Office Supervisor’ and as such has associated with it a series of specific supervisory responsibilities in addition to any current employee/ management responsibilities within the Bank. Periodically the holder of this role will be required to attest that they understand their specific supervisor responsibilities and that they will execute these diligently. For the avoidance of doubt these Front Office Supervisory Responsibilities supplement and do not replace those outlined in this Job Description as well as any other applicable core employee/management responsibilities associated to employment with the Bank. 

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Certification: LSPP Risk Management Level 3
  • Bank Training: Mandatory Group e-learning and FM e-learning modules
  • Language: English and Bahasa Indonesia Business Language
