As a DevOps Engineer, you are responsible to create and maintain development platforms and processes to enable build/release automations and drive productivity. You are responsible in looking after the setup and monitoring of our servers, both cloud and on-premise. You understand what it means to develop infrastructure-as-code solution and you have direct experience in managing images and containers with Docker/Kubernetes.

Responsibilities :

  1. Hosting management

    • Experienced in managing Linux systems

    • Set up new servers and maintain existing ones, both cloud and on-premise with clear audit

    • Create docker images/containers to automate deployments on various environments

    • Create script for backup automation

    • Create DR plans

    • Make recommendations on cloud architecture improvements overall

  2. System monitoring and logging

    • Create script for monitoring automation to track app health/performance

    • Implement logging solution to assist troubleshooting

  3. Security

    • Integrate security practices into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure code is secure from the start

    • Manage access controls

    • Conduct regular security audits

  3. CI/CD

    • Develop CI/CD pipelines to automate builds and releases

    • Ensure consistency across development, staging, and production env

  5. QA

    • Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with different teams

    • Provide timely resolutions

    • Perform root cause analysis for production issues

Qualifications :

  1. Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

  2. Experience

    • Min 3+ years of experience as a devops engineer

    • Proven track record of successfully creating containerization and orchestration

    • Proven experience in managing, creating and automate deployment pipelines (CI/CD)

  3. Technical Proficiency:

    • Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code solutions

    • Strong containerization skills with Docker and K8s

    • Strong programming language, particularly Python and bash/shell scripts

    • Strong understanding of version control with Git

    • Strong CI/CD workflows, e.g. Github Actions, Jenkins, Travis

    • Proficiency in middleware apps, e.g. RabbitMQ, Kafka, Redis, Elastic, Firebase

    • Proficiency in monitoring and logging tools, e.g. Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus

    • Proficiency in web technologies and cloud platforms e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, Digital Ocean, Alibaba

  4. Soft Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate

    • Output driven

    • Positive, can-do attitude

    • Willingness to travel for work as assigned at both the head office and factory site as needed
