Responsibilities:

• Keeping up, developing, and implementing customs policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all customs regulations and guidelines.
• Managing day to day customs declarations operations and excises tax filing related to local production, import/export licenses, determining HS code, implementing internal controls and documentations requirements.
• Setting up and manage the customs department, including recruitment, training staff and internal customers, managing budgets and ensuring efficient and effective operations.
• Working with engineering, procurement, and logistics teams to develop actual business and build relationships with customers.
• Liaising with customs authorities and other government agencies to ensure that all documentation is accurate and up to date, including responsible to Customs authorities inquiries, audits and as required by the business to support specific transactions and processes either directly or thru legal counsel as needed
• Managing all customs documentation, including declarations, licenses, and permits.
• Provide guidance to other departments and customers on customs compliance requirements.
• Developing and implementing strategies to reduce customs-related costs and improve supply chain efficiency (e.g., preparation of Masterlist facility, application of Bonded Area, etc.).
• Identifying potential customs issues and providing recommendations for corrective actions.
• Maintaining records of all customs documentation, including declarations, licenses and permits.
• Providing regular reports on customs compliance and performance to management.
• Interface with Site and Project, and mainly with Chinese contractors for Customs Purpose
• Reporting to the Supply Chain Project Manager
• Contribute to the treatment of claims with local suppliers

Requirements:

• Previously work as Customs officer or Customs clearance officer of international company
• 10 years of experience in Indonesian Customs processes (on remote site)
• Knowledge of international trade and customs compliance is essential
• Proven experience in customs management and compliance
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
• Fluent English and Bahasa Indonesia
• Chinese language is an advantage
