Key Responsibilities

  • To strictly follow all Company procedures, guidelines and mandatory
    regulations.
  • To plan and mana accordance with industry and the Client requirements.
  • To handle a global crew career development strategy, including managing the promotion plan / schedule and the possible pipe-line to ensure there is sufficient qualified crew in the pool in order to meet the demand.
  • To follow a process which ensures Senior Officers are assessed and (if
    necessary) approved by the Client in time.
  • To assist in ensuring that training sessions have been organised in accordance with Company requirements, that the training sessions are efficiently optimized, in a cost-effective manner.
  • To liaise with Regional Training Officers in ensuring that the training sessions adhere to Client requirements.
  • To effectively utilize company database system to be used for processing attendees for scheduled training courses.
  • To monitor the KPIs, trends, data analysis and prepare respective weekly, monthly or quarterly reports which would reflect the status.
  • To keep the existing training centre/suppliers list up to date.
  • To maintain all training agreements with training centres/suppliers.
  • To monitor and implement all/any changes to the Client requirements.
  • To assist Talent Development Manager with year-end forecast / planning.
  • To organize seminars and conferences for training offices periodically.
  • To prepare reports for feedback/information sharing.
  • To submit monthly figures to head office in terms of trainee numbers/breakdown per agency/ overview of realized training.
  • To track actual training progress against the budget.
  • To participate periodically in the validation and timely promotion of Officer
    Cadets.
  • To monitor the receipt of Ship Safety Officer certificates.
  • To assist with preparation of attendance/certificates/feedback forms for training in Singapore.
  • Provide training support for out of office hours and weekends if necessary.
  • To check and approve training related invoices
  • To ensure that the Company Training Manager is always kept updated and fully informed about all exceptional cases.
  • To perform ad hoc tasks as requested by the Company Training Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A minimum of a diploma
  • Sufficient knowledge of mandatory STCW certification and Flag States’ requirement
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Proper command of English, both written and spoken

Experience

  • One year of experience in the similar role would be an advantage
