Reporting to the Regional Director, the Country Representative be responsible for developing and executing technical programs and activities in Indonesia, including building rapport with key government stakeholders in the energy sector. You will also provide reports analyzing activity results and commercial and policy developments in key sectors. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact and gain valuable experience in an exciting industry.

Description

Key responsibilities:

1. Building and maintaining relationships with relevant stakeholders in the Indonesian energy sector, primarily key government agencies and state-owned enterprises, to ensure successful advocacy efforts.
2. Conducting research, preparing materials, and representing the client in meetings and conferences.
3. Monitoring global and domestic renewable energy policies as well as market development and analyzing their impact on the industry.
4. Liaising with the regional office to organize events and manage visits/missions.
5. Preparing and reporting monthly work log for the organization that includes a summary of work performed, activities, and expenses

Profile

The successful candidate should have:

1. Indonesian nationality
2. Has at least 12+ years of experience in the energy sector and multinational company/international organizations
3. Prior work experience or exposure to state-owned enterprises, primarily Pertamina, would be a huge advantage
4. Has strong relationship with key government agencies in the energy sector and is well-connected within the industry
5. Has proven track record of government engagement and policy advocacy works related to energy and foreign trade
6. Eligible to travel abroad and is willing to travel frequently
7. Fluent in English both written and spoken
