As the Country Legal Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all corporate legal matters within the organization in Indonesia. Your primary focus will be to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations, mitigate legal risks, and provide legal guidance to support the hospital’s operations. This role requires a deep understanding of healthcare regulations, contract law, employment law/industrial relationship and corporate governance.

Description

Legal and Compliance:

• Stay abreast of and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and licensing requirements related to healthcare operations in Indonesia.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the hospital’s adherence to legal standards.

Contract Management:

• Review, draft, and negotiate various contracts, agreements, and legal documents with a focus on vendor contracts, employment agreements, and partnership agreements.
• Ensure that all contracts align with legal requirements and protect the hospital’s interests.

Risk Management:

• Identify and assess legal risks associated with business operations and propose strategies to mitigate these risks.
• Work closely with other departments to implement risk management programs and policies.

Corporate Governance:

• Provide legal advice on corporate governance matters and ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
• Assist in the preparation of board meeting materials and resolutions.

Dispute Resolution:

• Manage and oversee the resolution of legal disputes, including liaising with external legal counsel when necessary.
• Represent the hospital in legal proceedings, as required.

Regulatory Affairs:

• Collaborate with relevant regulatory bodies to obtain and maintain necessary licenses and approvals.
• Monitor changes in healthcare regulations and update internal stakeholders accordingly.

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law; Master’s degree or additional certifications is a plus.
• 4-6 years of legal experience, with a focus on healthcare law and regulations.
• Admission to the Indonesian Bar (PERADI) is required.
• Strong knowledge in Employment Law/Industrial Relations.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance, contract law, and healthcare regulations in Indonesia.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
