Description
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Country General Manager to lead and grow operations in Indonesia. This is a critical leadership role responsible for setting and executing business strategy, managing multi-functional teams, and driving operational excellence and commercial growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in managing technical and commercial operations within crane services, lifting equipment, or mechanical handling industries.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and inspire cross-functional teams across multiple locations.

• Foster a high-performance culture through goal alignment, regular communication, and mentorship.

• Ensure team collaboration, accountability, and continuous professional development.

2. Business Development & Strategy

• Develop and execute growth strategies to expand market presence.

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients in Ports, Oil & Gas, and Marine sectors.

• Identify new business opportunities and lead high-level contract negotiations.

3. Operational Excellence

• Drive continuous improvement in operational workflows, project execution, and reporting.

• Oversee technical service delivery, ensuring quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

• Optimize internal systems and processes for scalable growth.

4. Financial & Commercial Oversight

• Oversee financial operations including budgeting, cash flow, and cost control.

• Analyze financial data to improve profitability and manage P&L performance.

• Implement commercial strategies to enhance long-term sustainability.

5. Supply Chain & Project Management

• Collaborate with local and global supply chain teams for efficient procurement and inventory management.

• Oversee project timelines, resource planning, and delivery quality.

• Ensure projects are executed on time, within budget, and to client expectations.

6. Compliance, Health & Safety

• Ensure full compliance with local regulations and global safety standards.

• Promote a safety-first culture and lead risk mitigation initiatives.

• Conduct regular assessments and implement corrective actions as needed.

7. Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as the primary liaison between local operations and global leadership.

• Represent the company with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.

• Report regularly on progress, challenges, and strategic plans.

Profile

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.

• 10+ years of leadership experience in technical, operational, or commercial roles.

• Background in crane services, lifting equipment, or mechanical handling is essential.

• Proven experience in Ports, Oil & Gas, or Marine sectors preferred.

• Willing to work at Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.

• Commercial acumen with experience driving sales and business growth.

• Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.

• Deep understanding of health, safety, and local regulatory frameworks.
