About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Cosmetic Purchasing Manager to join our team at PT Shangyang Technology Indonesia. As a full-time position based in Cikupa, Banten, this role will be responsible for overseeing all purchasing activities related to our cosmetic product lines. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective procurement of materials to support our manufacturing operations.

What you’ll be doing

Developing and implementing effective purchasing strategies to meet the company’s cosmetic production requirements

Sourcing, negotiating and managing relationships with suppliers of raw materials, packaging, and other cosmetic-related components

Monitoring and analysing market trends, pricing, and availability of materials to make informed purchasing decisions

Collaborating with the production and inventory teams to forecast and plan for future purchasing needs

Ensuring timely delivery of purchased materials and maintaining optimal inventory levels

Identifying opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplier diversification

Providing regular reports and analysis on purchasing activities, performance, and metrics

Supervising and mentoring the purchasing team to drive efficiency and continuous improvement

What we’re looking for

Minimum 5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within the cosmetics or FMCG industry

Strong understanding of the cosmetic manufacturing process and the associated supply chain dynamics

Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships

Proficiency in data analysis, forecasting, and inventory management techniques

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across different functions

Proven track record of implementing cost-saving initiatives and process improvements

Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and quality standards

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
