Job Title: Cook

Location: Nusa Lembongan, Bali

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at a 6-bungalow hotel in Nusa Lembongan, Bali. The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, including local Indonesian cuisine and international fare, to meet the culinary preferences of our guests. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:
– Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes, including Indonesian and international cuisine, in accordance with guest preferences and dietary restrictions.
– Ensure the kitchen operates in compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
– Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan menus, estimate food requirements, and monitor supplies and expenses.
– Monitor food stock and place orders as needed to ensure efficient and timely food preparation.
– Work closely with the hotel management to create and update menus, taking into consideration seasonal availability and local ingredients.

Qualifications:

– Proficient in English language is a must.
– Proven experience as a Cook or similar role, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
– Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
– Familiarity with Indonesian cuisine and the ability to adapt to guest preferences for international dishes.
– Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
– Excellent communication and organizational skills.
– Ability to work well in a team environment and take direction from the head chef or kitchen manager.
