The role: 

The role is responsible for managing all aspects of a construction project, from planning and design to execution and completion

Main responsibilities:

Project planning: The construction project manager is responsible for developing and implementing a project plan that outlines project goals, timelines, budgets, and resources.

Budget management: The construction project manager is responsible for managing the project budget, tracking expenses, managing costs, and ensuring that the project is completed within the approved budget.

Resource allocation: The construction project manager is responsible for allocating resources such as labour, equipment, and materials. They need to ensure that resources are used efficiently and effectively to complete the project on time and within budget.

Contract management: The construction project manager is responsible for managing contracts with subcontractors and vendors. They need to ensure that all parties are fulfilling their obligations and that work is progressing according to plan.

Site management: The construction project manager is responsible for managing the construction site. They need to ensure that workers are following safety protocols, that work is progressing according to plan, and that the site is clean and organized.

Quality control: The construction project manager is responsible for ensuring that work is completed to the required quality standards. They need to inspect work and address any issues that arise.

Communication: The construction project manager is responsible for communicating with the project owner, architects, subcontractors, and vendors. They need to ensure that everyone is informed about the project’s progress and any issues that arise.

Risk management: The construction project manager is responsible for identifying and managing risks associated with the project. They need to create contingency plans and take steps to minimize potential risks.

Project documentation: The construction project manager is responsible for maintaining accurate project documentation, including budgets, schedules, progress reports, and contracts.

Project closeout: The construction project manager is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the project are completed and that the project is closed out properly.

Experience in managing projects in Indonesia is a plus.

Language requirement: English, French or Spanish native is mandatory. English proficiency is mandatory.

Job Location: Ecobeach office in Bali. Travel and stay in construction locations are expected (Jepara, Karimunjawa and Sumba).

To be successful in this role, a construction project manager should have strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. They should also have a deep understanding of construction processes, materials, and techniques, as well as knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and building codes
