As Compliance Lead, you will involve in spearheading the Company’s Compliance program, encompassing the oversight of various compliance facets including regulatory adherence, governance, risk evaluation, training, and awareness initiatives.

Description

Regulatory Compliance:

• Offer in-depth on-site support for all compliance-related matters in Indonesia, ensuring adherence to regulatory obligations set forth by the Financial Services Agency (OJK), Bank Indonesia (BI), Commodities Futures Trading Regulatory Agency (BAPPEBTI), and Financial Transaction Reports.
• Keep abreast of relevant regulations to guarantee that company policies and procedures remain current and compliant.
• Take the lead in licensing efforts and provide regular progress reports to the leadership team.
• Collaborate with internal departments to provide guidance and resolution of compliance-related concerns.

Policies and Procedures:

• Develop, maintain, and update local compliance policies, procedures, and manuals.
• Foster a culture of adherence to compliance standards across the organization.

Training and Awareness:

• Conduct training sessions for employees to enhance awareness and understanding of compliance requirements.
• Cultivate a company-wide culture of compliance.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory authorities as required.
• Monitor and report suspicious transactions to the appropriate authorities.

Risk Assessment:

• Lead enterprise-wide risk assessment initiatives.
• Identify, assess, and formulate strategies to mitigate compliance risks associated with the company’s customers, products, and services.

Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF):

• Act as subject matter expertise in AML/CTF areas of the business.
• Assist in the development and implementation of the company’s AML / CTF programs.
• Monitor and report suspicious transactions to relevant authorities.
• Supervise the company’s Customer Due Diligence (CDD) process, ensuring proper customer identification and verification, monitoring high-risk transactions, and conducting enhanced due diligence as needed.
• Collaborate closely with the Global Compliance team, providing on-the-ground support in areas such as Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), transaction monitoring, investigation of suspicious transactions and activities, and Suspicious Transaction Report/Suspicious Activity Report filing.

Compliance Communication:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance matters with regulatory authorities, external auditors, and financial institution partners.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address compliance-related issues.

Profile

• A minimum of 6+ years of experience in AML/CFT or regulatory compliance.
• Possession of relevant qualifications or certifications such as ICA or CAMS will be great advantage.
• Proven experience in engaging with or working alongside regulatory authorities.
• Demonstrates excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities to facilitate both internal and external collaborations.
• Capable of working independently while also excelling as a team player.
• Proficient in identifying and addressing risks and issues, with a track record of applying effective problem-solving skills.
• Exhibits a commitment to understanding, displays analytical thinking, and demonstrates critical reasoning.
• Proficiency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in Mandarin is a plus point.
