Job Description Summary :

Responsible for supporting the development and strengthening of alternative livelihoods for communities around the PT ANIP PBPH area through a participatory, sustainable approach, and in line with the principles of sustainable forest management and social protection.

Job Description :

Community Livelihood Development

  • Design, implement, and monitor programs to improve community livelihoods (livelihoods) such as agroforestry, NTFPs, sustainable agriculture, and other productive economic enterprises.

  • Integrate livelihood programs with the PBPH work plan and local community needs.

Community Assistance and Empowerment

  • Provide assistance to community groups, cooperatives, and local business groups.

  • Facilitate technical and non-technical training related to natural resource management, entrepreneurship, and group governance.

Community Engagement and Participation

  • Encourage active community participation in program planning, implementation, and evaluation.

  • Ensure an inclusive approach, taking into account vulnerable groups and youth.

Social and Livelihood Assessment

  • Conduct baseline surveys and socio-economic mapping related to livelihoods, land use, and community dependence on forests.

  • Support data collection for monitoring and evaluating the program’s social impact.

Coordination and Partnership

  • Coordinate with the Community Development Manager, the internal PBPH team, village government, traditional institutions, and other stakeholders.

  • Support collaboration with local partners (NGOs, MSMEs, cooperatives) to strengthen livelihoods programs.

Social Risk Management

  • Identify potential social risks and conflicts related to livelihoods activities.

  • Support conflict mitigation efforts and ensure the implementation of the Free, Prior, and Informed Consent (FPIC) principle in activities involving the community

Reporting

  • Prepare regular activity reports on the implementation, achievements, and challenges of livelihoods programs.

  • Support the preparation of social reports for internal and external needs (audits, certification, or sustainability standards).

Job Requirement :

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Forestry, Agriculture, Socioeconomics, or a related field.

  • >5 years of work experience in community development or partnership programs, particularly in forest areas and at the village level.

  • Experience working with local and/or indigenous communities is an added advantage.

  • Understanding of the concepts of sustainable livelihoods, community empowerment, and natural resource management.

  • Strong communication, facilitation, and community mentoring skills.

  • Experience working in the field and adapting to working conditions in PBPH areas.

  • Understanding of the principles of social protection, FPIC, and basic conflict resolution.

  • Able to work independently and in a team.

  • Preference will be given to those domiciled in or familiar with the socio-cultural context of Aceh.

  • Experience with certification schemes or sustainability standards (PHPL, FSC, VCS-CCB, or similar).

  • Experience in PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) and stakeholder mapping.

  • Ability to develop proposals or community business plans

  • Willling to be placed at PT Aceh Nusa Indra Puri (ANIP) – Aceh Besar
