Team introduction

The Communications team is the voice of the company while being the guardian of the company’s reputation. The team is responsible for telling TikTok’s story, managing the company reputation, engaging in meaningful conversation, and building positive sentiment for the company. While we are truly a global company, lean-in local has always been our guiding principle in doing our work. On a daily basis, the team serves as a strategic partner for all functions in advancing business objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver Indonesia B2B strategic communications plans and programs that advance business priorities, while building a thought leadership position in Indonesia for business and marketing industry audiences.
• Be the first point of contact for the commercial and partnership teams in the market.
• Collaborate closely with the Global Comms teams and cross-functional stakeholders to develop, localize, and implement a range of proactive communications campaigns with relevant local narratives, from key partnerships, product, safety, and brand announcements to evergreen case studies and story opportunities.
• Support strategies that engage and educate our partners and policymakers on issues important to TikTok and our community. Source, create and deliver stakeholder-friendly stories about our positive impact and policies.
• Build awareness of our partnerships, products and programs through media and industry-facing initiatives that articulate our mission, values and innovation.
• Cultivate strong media relationships to land stories, advance our brand narratives and reach key audiences. Engage partners, third parties, and other KOLs to build credibility and advocacy for the brand.
• Manage and work with our local PR agency to ensure quality execution and meaningful evaluation to further improve strategic communications plans and programs, including budget and target tracking.

Job Qualifications:

• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in communications industry
• A degree in Journalism, PR, Communications or in a related discipline
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa and English
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to navigate and form effective relationships and collaborate with colleagues across different departments and functions
• Demonstrated ability to simplify highly-technical messaging into clear, actionable deliverables
• Demonstrated ability to build and execute communication strategy and planning
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple assignments, deadlines and high-volume, detailed work within a fast-paced environment
• Experience in media relations and/ or agency background is a plus
