CHIEF ENGINEERING

Role of job:

Chief Engineer will responsible to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience by handling all maintenance issues within the rosort and hotel. This position will report to General Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintenance issues within the hotel.
• Perform daily checks around the villa, resort and hotel.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment within the villa, resort and hotel.
• Maintenance of all villa, resort and hotel fixtures and fittings to ensure they are in safe condition and take action when any unsafe situations arise.
• Develop, implement, and direct all emergency programs.
• Develop, implement and manage energy conservation programs for the utilities to minimize expenses.
• Coordinate renovation bidding, define the cost and scope of the project, and oversee the general contractor and subcontractors to ensure quality work is performed cost effectively.
• Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
• Responsible for the health and safety of the villa, resort and hotel.
• Ensure monthly safety inspections take place and employees are trained accordingly.
• Assists in managing the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, plumbing, water treatment, electrical and life safety systems.
• Establishes and manages an effective rooms maintenance program.
• Ensures compliance with all Engineering departmental policies, standards and procedures.
• Manages department’s controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
• Select and order or purchase new equipment, supplies, and furnishings.
• Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities in order to determine the type of work required.
• Recommend or arrange for additional services such as painting, repair work, renovations, and the replacement of furnishings and equipment.
• Supervises the day to day operations of Engineering.

Key Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in engineering related trades. Along with certification in related fields.
• At least 3 years experiences working as Chief Engineer or Assistant Chief Engineer for full-service beach resort hotel or similar capacity in a service industry.
• Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering for beach resort and marine construction
• Good communication skills
• Committed to delivering a high level of customer service
• Excellent grooming standards
• Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work on their own
• Previous experience in a management role
• Tech savvy with strong analytical and problem solving skills
• High Rise Villa, Hotel and Resort Maintenance Knowledge and Skills.
• Strong monitoring administration and team.
• Willing to be placed in Anyer, Banten Area.
