Skill yang kami butuhkan ialah Kimia & Fisika (Sains & Teknologi) serta orang yang jujur dan disiplin.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Achieve and maintain high quality of work on each section within lab. Area
To coach and train laboratory technician on proper analytical technique and procedures
Ensure efficient work flow through in the laboratory section
Ensure safety compliance at all times
Interface with Sample preparation, fire assayer, Lab. Assistant Manager and Lab. Manager

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Organize priorities and personnel based on the needs of the assigned laboratory and the Clients’ interests
Monitor the jobs number that already in weighing and digestion process to ensure the job priority are adhered to or followed
Guide laboratory technicians in their allocated task to ensure maximum output
Monitor the equipment utilization, work practices, work load of lab. technicians to ensure that Company and client objectives are continually maintained
Operates and ensure the instruments analysis (AAS, CN analysis, carbon & sulfur analyzer, etc.) are in optimum condition when required
Ensure all relevant calibrations within equipment and instrument are performed and data recorded
Perform titration and bullion analysis
Perform sample analysis according to SOP’s and SGS test methods when required
Perform classical wet chemistry techniques for digestion and gravimetric methods when required
Ensure that the results of analysis are delivered correct and in a timely manner
Maintain production and quality targets as directed by Laboratory Manager
Responsible for Quality Control check on all analysis prior to QAQC or Lab Manager approval
Send the analytical report to the client
Send the daily status report to superior and client
Assist QA to performing method validation or verification for analysis according to the standard method
Conduct QA programs as directed by QA
Assist Lab Manager to problem solving if the analytical, equipment or other problems that may impact on the integrity or quality of results produced
Initiate corrective action when deviation from expected results is detected
Ensure a clean, tidy and efficient work area in your section and report other areas which are not displaying good housekeeping practices
Ensure any incident or accident is reported to the lab manager and assist in accident investigations and ensure all corrective actions are effectively communicated, understood and implemented
Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by Lab Assistant Manager or Lab Manager to support the division activities
Report any perceived hazards and risks in the workplace and make suggestions for improvement
Follow mine safety rules based on Mining Safety Management System / Sistem Manajemen Keselamatan Pertambangan (SMKP)
At all times, adopt a safe behaviour by exercising due regard for the health and safety of SGS employees and clients, in line with SGS policies and procedures
At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct

PROFILE

Diploma or Bachelor degree in chemistry or related field
Minimum 2 years operational experience in minerals / geochemistry laboratory would be advantage
High School chemistry or related field with minimum 5 years experienced in geochemistry laboratory
Medium knowledge about Quality Management System, ISO 9001 and ISO 17025
Medium level spoken English
Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety requirements
Understand the classical ‘wet’ chemistry methods: titrations (colour end-points and potentiometric end-points), gravimetric finish and volumetric analysis.
Mandatory basic skills lab.: pipetting, dilutions, weighing on a balance, filtration.
Experience with Infrared-Sulfur, AAS and Wet Chemistry
Experience using Laboratory Information Management System, LIMS CCLAS

REQUIRED SKILLS

Have expertise working with laboratory instrumentation such as: AAS, etc
Good analytical and organizational skills
