A Business Development Representative is responsible for helping organizations obtain better brand recognition and financial growth. The ERP Business Development Representative plays a strategic role in growing the business at PointStar Consulting. Being in business development position, you will be responsible for searching for potential clients in various industries. In addition, you will use your expertise to identify and qualify leads, leading to sales opportunities with both new and existing customers. 

  1. Market & sell PointStar products (NetSuite, Blackline, Builder.ai and Workato) to prospective buyers utilizing multiple channels –  phone, social platforms & email. 
  2. Perform outbound cold-calling to introduce products to clients over the phone.
  3. Research accounts, identify decision makers and generate interest.
  4. Build up a pipeline of B2B customers via appointment setting.
  5. Maintain the interest of a pipeline of B2B customers.
  6. Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends; identifying sales opportunities.
  7. Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; preparing quotations.
  8. Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions; participating in educational opportunities.
  9. Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  10. Ensure data accuracy and keep customers’ information up to date.
  11. Ensure BANT (Budget, Authority, Need and Timing) is achieved when qualifying an opportunity and routing them to sales for further development and closure.
  12. Create and compose a library of outbound emails (based on buyer personas, buyer’s journey).
  13. Create automated workflows on Hubspot to help to nurture leads and convert them to customers.
  14. Follow up with respondents who are enrolled in workflows.

Requirements

  1. Minimum 2-3 years proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales, Account Executive, or similar role is advantageous.
  2. Coming from ERP/IT/SaaS selling experience. ERP background would be preferred.
  3. Have a good command of English (verbal and written).
  4. Solid commercial acumen; the ability to spot opportunities in markets and to close them through a solutions-selling approach.
  5. A proactive, service-oriented attitude towards prospects and clients.
  6. ​​Have a strong problem-solving skill, strong in numbers.
  7. Self-driven person, embracing challenges, and persevering to failures.
  8. Have excellent communication, passion, dedication, and energy to get things done.
