The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our expanding team on a contractor basis in Indonesia.

About the role

As a BDM in Indonesia, you will be actively sourcing new business by partnering with local Indonesian businesses to drive innovation, sustainability, performance, and efficiency. Your expertise in sales and passion for engineering will be instrumental in shaping the future of industries in Indonesia and have impact on our daily lives. Your task will include, but are not limited to:

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in the Indonesian market within the HRL Technology Group sector
• Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions. This would include travelling to clients site on regular basis to identify opportunities.
• Drive the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring targets are met
• Collaborate closely with teams of Engineers in Australia, marketing, and to develop effective strategies and campaigns to promote our products and services in Indonesia
• Keep abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to provide strategic insights

About you

You will be energetic in your approach, a committed and enthusiastic team player, passionate to pursue continuous learning and willing to undertake a wide range of tasks. You must be flexible in your work approach and able to handle changing demands and priorities to meet Company and customer expectations.  

You will have: 

• Proven track record in business development or sales within the technology / engineering industry in Indonesia
• Strong understanding of the Indonesian market dynamics and business culture
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Willingness to travel to client sites outside of your home base on a regular basis.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia is essential
• Bachelors degree in Engineering. Masters degree in Business Administration or Marketing would be an advantage.
