Our Beauty & Wellbeing team is embarking on an exciting journey as we are looking for a great talent who will hold a pivotal leadership position within the organization. This role will be instrumental in guiding the direction of Beauty and Wellbeing Indonesia R&D and defining its priorities. The primary responsibility will be to deliver innovative and superior beauty products that drive growth through purpose, science and desire, consumer & customer love, and market leadership. This role will give you a seat on the BU leadership team, working to lead and align R&D efforts with the overall business strategy.

What can you expect from the role?

• Lead the Beauty and Wellbeing Indonesia R&D team, providing vision, strategy and direction to deliver exceptional product mixes that exceed customer and consumer expectations
• Collaborate with the business management team to shape the BU strategy and ensure the R&D strategy aligns with the company’s overall goals and objectives on e.g. innovation and sustainability
• Drive the ambition of achieving product superiority by developing, consumer-centric product mixes that set new industry standards
• Oversee the development and execution of a comprehensive 3-year value improvement roadmap to enhance product quality and cost-effectiveness
• Partner with the Marketing Team to develop a technology-enabled, IP-protected innovation pipeline that addresses customer needs and demands
• Develop and role model a culture of continuous learning to build future fit capabilities and R&D leaders within the Beauty and Wellbeing Indonesia R&D team and connect with the PC R&D team to craft a One-R&D approach to talent and development
• Establish strong collaboration between the R&D team, Science and Technology (S&T) division, Global Design Center (GDC), and other relevant BU R&D teams, fostering a One Team – One Dream mindset and ensuring the long term technology pipeline is delivering to the needs of the Indonesia business
• Contribute actively to B&W R&D leadership team, sharing insights and best practices to drive innovation across the organization
• Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Marketing functions as a unified team, driving synergies and alignment throughout the organization

Does this sound like you?

• Demonstrable experience of sitting on an executive LT, defining and executing strategy, leading technical teams, managing complex stakeholders and experience in maximising potential of innovation and science
• Proven track record of leading R&D teams in dynamic, cross-functional environments, achieving outstanding results
• Strong passion for consumer led innovation and driving the development of exceptional products that surpass consumer & customer expectations
• In-depth knowledge of the innovation process, portfolio management, and leveraging Intellectual Property for competitive advantage
• Proven ability to develop technology roadmaps and implement innovations
• Excellent people skills with experience in leading across different cultures
• Experience in crafting external partnerships to access new technologies and foster innovation
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines. A minimum of 10+ years of experience in the beauty and wellbeing industry
• Strong experience in functional R&D with digital capability for R&D will be an advantage
