Job description & requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related major
2+ years of experience Back-End Engineer or similar position
2+ years of experience using GoLanguage
Strong data structures and computer science fundamentals
Strong OOP understanding
Development experience in object-oriented programming languages and patterns.
Familiar with HTTP protocol
Familiar with performance tuning of Web Server, massive concurrency handling, and caching mechanisms
Experienced in using version control (Git)
Experienced in web server development using Go
Experienced in designing and implementing efficient database structure for web server
Experienced in developing API using JSON-based REST API or gRPC

Responsibilities:

Develop clean and stress-proof web server application.
Design and implement web backend services using Go or Python + Django/Flask
Research, analyze, test, benchmark, and evaluate new technology.
Improve the ease of use of our GDK (GitLab Development Kit).
Improve Review apps for CE/EE (GDK in the cloud).
Build automated tooling to speed up issue and merge request review and triage
Maintain existing server application.
Write high-quality, clean, maintainable code using engineering best practices (unit testing, source control, continuous integration, automation, design patterns, etc.).
Write, manage, and update documentation related with development
