Our client is seeking an Assistant Tax Manager to review and file fiscal accounts, tax returns and tax payments.

Responsibilities:

• Review and file fiscal accounts, tax returns and tax payments.
• Manage tax compliance, tax assessments and queries by the tax authorities (both for direct and indirect taxes). Provide liaison for and monitor local tax audits. Establish and maintain good working relations with relevant government /tax authorities.
• Function as a focal point for tax reporting matters, managing the interface with finance operations and closely monitoring and improving tax reporting processes in line with legislation and group requirements.
• Responsible for creating monthly/quarterly tax provisions, and updating tax provisioning guidelines.
• Audit internal compliance with tax regulations.
• Provide concise, accurate and timely end-to-end direct and indirect tax advice.
• Interact with Global and Regional teams in providing advice on cross-border issues and projects.
• Support operations in the bidding process, including setting up new operations, and reviewing customer bids and contracts.
• Review of 3rd party vendor contracts terms & conditions relating to taxes.

Requirements:

• 3+ years in business taxation working for a multinational, or a professional firm.
• Good tax accounting knowledge and experience.
• Recognized professional qualification and membership in a recognized accounting or legal professional body are preferred.
• Effective communicator of complex tax issues; both written and oral.
• Ability to adapt to new or changing circumstances and ambiguous or pressured situations.
• Demonstrates creativity in the evaluation of issues and development of possible solutions.
• Ability to evaluate tax risks, balance risk with commercial objectives, and make objective, practical, and technically appropriate recommendations.
• Effective team player.
