Fish Procurement Assistant Manager

General Qualification :

• Education background as Bachelor’s Degree or Master Degree from Fisheries, Food Tech, Bio Tech
• Should have experience at Fish Procurement (Purchasing) or related job at least 5 years

• Have experience of Fish Procurement Management (Purchasing)
• Have good relationship with authority department (Regional Fisheries Dept, Minister Maritime and Fisheries, Quarantine Dept)
• Excellent negotiating skills
• Meticulous and neat in Administration
• Good interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Ms. Office and Odoo
• FLUENT in English competency (Oral and Written)

Job Description

Main purpose of job :

• To direct and control the central Fish Procurement function to ensure that Fish from supplies are purchased at the most competitive prices and are of the required quality.

Main responsibilities :

• Direct and control purchasing staff to ensure that they are well motivated and trained and that they carry out their responsibilities to the required standards
• Assist in the development of Fish Procurement policy to ensure that the company makes the best use of its Fish Procurement power.
• Negotiate contracts with fish suppliers who meet the company’s requirements to secure the most favorable terms of business for the company.
• Develop and implement all necessary policies and procedures to ensure that the Fish Procurement function operates effectively.
• Keep all contracts for the supply of fish and services under review to ensure that they are being carried out effectively and renegotiate terms where necessary.
• Maintain the Fish Procurement budget to ensure the effective monitoring and control of all fish purchases.
• Maintain an awareness of any developments in the field of Fish Procurement or with fish suppliers to ensure that the company continues to apply the most effective policies and procedures.
• Act as the company’s adviser on all matters relating to the Fish Procurement function.
