Job Description:

As the Assistant Manager of Finance and Accounting at Passion Group, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial integrity and stability of our operations. You will work closely with the finance team to manage financial transactions, analyze financial data, and contribute to strategic decision-making. Your meticulous attention to detail and analytical skills will be crucial in maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
  • Account Reconciliation: Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Expense Management: Monitor and analyze expenses, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to management for informed decision-making.
  • Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations.
  • Audit Support: Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, streamline workflows, and implement best practices.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations and management, to support financial planning and reporting.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior finance team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • 4 years of experience in finance and accounting roles, preferably in the retail or luxury goods industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, including Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of retail inventory management and costing is advantageous.
