The Project Civil & Structural Engineer has overall responsibility of overseeing and managing Civil & Structural Construction related activities of the entire project and will be part of the Construction Team working very closely with Project Design Management Consultant.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Administer and review all C&S design related activities along with in-house operations team, engineering & project consultants, contractors and local authorities

2. Review C&S designs and add value / improve in terms of safety, quality, budget / cost and timelines

3. Maintain and update knowledge on various civil engineering processes with help of various techniques and coordinate with various departments for all C&S technical activities of the project.

4. Review C&S designs according to applicable standards, codes and regulations (Company and Local)

5. Sort out any variation in BOQ, specifications etc., related to C&S amongst Company, Consultants and Contractors during design, tendering and execution

6. Review & Analyze all C&S related designs and recommend modifications and changes if required and participate in various design meetings to effect the necessary changes

7. Evaluate all civil processes and ensure efficient quality control on all C&S related activities of the projects and provide support to the project team at all times to maintain work schedule and budgets.

8. Review and comment on tender documents and design drawings submitted by engineering consultant

9. Review and comment on construction drawings submitted by contractors

10. Work closely with Project & Operations team, Design & Project management consultants and contractors in preparing and execution of C&S related Project Schedules (Level 1, 2, 3 ,4 & 5), site preparedness and constructability process & procedures

11. Develop C&S documents related maintenance, standard operating procedures manuals to provide training to all personnel

12. Work closely with the Project SHE team to develop and implement Project Safety Strategy and Plan, Risk assessments, HAZOP etc.

• Civil & Structural Professional Diploma, Technical or Engineering Degree is essential.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in C&S design, Construction & Project activities.

• Experience of leading and delivering Project Services in Greenfield and Brownfield projects

• Broad familiarity with different construction techniques, their risks and practical mitigations.

• Experience in dealing with local authorities / regulatory for submissions and approvals

• Experience in all safety related aspects in C&S design

• Track record in developing a proactive safety culture on large construction projects, with multiple contractor groups and a diverse local workforce while preparing tender documents.

• Experience in Project Civil & Structural Design and Construction

• Well conversant with the use of Civil and Project related software applications (Auto CAD, MS office etc.)

• Proven track record of analytical thinking and project management, Site Contractor Management and Construction Risk Assessment

• Experience of managing high value budgets within a project or operational environment

• Fluent in English Language and, preferably Indonesian
