Main Job Purpose

Plan, lead, and monitor thorough asset integrity checks by executing proper inspections and direction of remedy based on Risk-Based Inspection in order to avoid shutdown or fatal accident.

Main Responsibilities

Monitor plant deterioration, such as wall thickness of equipment and piping, painting, insulation, and suggest preventive, active or passive resolution to maintain the asset integrity
Execute regular audits and management review of KPIs in order to monitor the effectiveness of the ongoing system and drive continuous improvement via agreed actions, which may be channelled through Technical Services, Operations, and Maintenance departments
Review and optimise the plant inspection plan, both risk-based and condition-based inspection work, as well as train the inspectors in order to ensure the process in the plant runs smoothly.
Act as a focal point for SKKP and SKPI (governmental requirements for pressure vessel and the plant) renewal to comply with applicable government regulations
Review and provide feedback on engineering deliverables such as MSD, process data sheet and P&ID provided by the EPC contractor to ensure technical integrity and deliverables meet
Monitor and implement QHSE regulation within his/her area of responsibility to minimise any possible risk and comply with company and government regulations
Proactively monitor any process safety issue in the plant and provide a solution/mitigation (from a technical point of view) to avoid/minimise the impact of any process safety issue in the overall plant
Ensure any deterioration on equipment or pipeline corrosion can be detected early, is minimised and adequately mitigated to avoid any disruption to the production process
Coach and develop subordinates in his/her area of responsibility to ensure they have the skills and capability to perform more effective and efficient work within the organisation
Assist 24/7 technical services, operations, and maintenance teams
Establish a working relationship with Migas/3rd Party Inspector/Other Department

General Requirements

Graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering
Knowledge of applicable codes and standards for inspection and engineering purposes
Minimum of 12 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry as a metallurgist, mechanical engineer, inspector, or Certified plant inspector, having experience in developing inspection plans.
Certified in Risk-Based Inspection Methodology and for Damage Mechanisms in the refinery/Process Industries
Experienced with MIGAS for the certificate updates/extension
Willing to be based in Site
