Job Description

The Area General Manager (AGM) will primarily be based at one property, where they will serve as the General Manager (GM) overseeing daily operations. In addition to their responsibilities at this primary location, the AGM will also take on a strategic role supporting multiple other properties within the designated area. This dual role ensures that the AGM can maintain a hands-on approach to operational excellence while also providing oversight and support to other properties in alignment with corporate objectives.

Responsibilities

1.Brand Standards: 

Ensure that all properties adhere to company brand standards and operational guidelines by conducting  regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance and implement corrective actions as needed. Furthermore is to lead property management teams in upholding brand integrity and foster a culture of excellence and safety in the workplace.

2. Customer Experience:

Monitor and support the guest experience across all properties, reflecting on strategies to achieve high levels of guest satisfaction through enhancing guest journey and touchpoints. As well as to support team on any high-level guest issues and ensure teams provide feedback promptly and effectively, ensuring a positive resolution and improved guest loyalty.

3. Corporate Communication and Guidance:

Serve as the primary liaison between corporate headquarters and property management teams, ensuring clear and consistent communication of corporate policies, initiatives, and expectations. Facilitate regular meetings as necessary with property teams to discuss performance, share best practices, and align strategic goals, including coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations.

4.Financial Performance: 

Guide the financial performance of each property, including budgeting, forecasting, and topline revenues by collaborating with property Leadership Team to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for revenue enhancement and also to drive a yield management mindset and driving digital marketing platforms.

5. Operational Excellence:

Ensure efficient and effective operations across all properties and brands, including adherence to health and safety regulations, cleanliness, maintenance standards, and operational procedures. To monitor key performance indicators (BSCs) using data analytics tools,  support Pre-Opening activities where necessary, 

and continue to drive innovative mindsets and usage of data analytical tools within company disposal.

6. Strategic Planning:

Collaborate with property Leadership teams on strategic plans to achieve business objectives and drive growth within the assigned area as well as to collaborate with corporate leadership to align area strategies with overall company goals and initiatives.

7. Succession Planning

Collaborate with People and Culture on identifying and nurturing talent development for leadership levels and f oster a positive teamwork environment.


Job Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in hospitality management.

• Proven track record of managing and delivering to brand standards, enhancing customer experience, and achieving financial targets.

• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide diverse teams.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with corporate executives and property staff.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.

• Preferably with multi-property or multi brands oversight.

• Problem-Solving: Ability to address and resolve issues efficiently.

• Flexibility: Adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment as well as regular travel and site visits 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with property management systems.
