The Role Responsibilities

Job Summary

The role is to supervise and maintain Projects through best practices and standards.

The role is also responsible for planning and coordinating the processes required for the provision of user applications and systems necessary for business units and support units.

This individual must be able to have proven communication and problem-solving skills to guide and assist the user group on issues related to the design, development, and deployments of IT Projects and solutions within Standard Chartered (local and regional projects).

The Role is to also coordinate with its Project manager / officer teams and provide monitoring to the projects until its completion.

The individual must be able to manage stakeholders and user group in a manner to lead them to the right decision making and to remove any bottleneck and showstopper in a project implementation.

Accountability

  • Lead, monitor, and track all projects and enhancements to ensure the projects and enhancements meet expected scope, timeline, cost and quality and as per guidance from group PMO.
  • Collaborate with all related teams locally and regionally (IT, Users, Support function, etc), and other related party for testing, deployment / implementation of new fixes, software, hardware and / or services.
  • Coordinate feasibility studies for Impact assessment related with requirement from the stakeholder.
  • Ensure that applications meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements.
  • Contribute to testing phase of development by evaluating proposals in order to identify potential problem areas, and make the appropriate recommendations.
  • Perform projects’ issues tracking and work independently or with relevant vendors to identify root cause and resolve systems issues within timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with Group Policy and Standards, local laws, regulations and controls and procedures of the Bank, through audit reviews and completion of self assessment checks.
  • Ensure proper escalation and Project updates are driven regularly to all stakeholders.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Degree with related computer science and / or information systems.
  • Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
  • Good project management skills and / or substantial exposure to project-based work structures.
  • Able to work in a team with good interpersonal skills.
  • PMP certified preferred.
