The Role

As an AI/ML Engineer, you will design and implement intelligent security systems that leverage large language models, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and machine learning for vulnerability assessment, threat intelligence, and security operations automation.

You’ll work closely with security analysts, backend engineers, and product teams to build our Advanced Vulnerability Assessment System (AVAS), enhance SOC automation capabilities, and develop AI-driven solutions that meet real-time performance demands in security-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

AI System Architecture & RAG Design

• Design and implement intelligent security applications leveraging RAG frameworks for threat intelligence, vulnerability knowledge bases, and security documentation

• Build and optimize prompt templates for security analysis, incident investigation, and automated remediation recommendations

• Evaluate and integrate embedding models and vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Milvus) for security knowledge retrieval

• Architect RAG pipelines capable of processing thousands of security documents, CVE records, and threat intelligence feeds in real-time

Data Pipelines & Integration

• Build data pipelines for security datasets including CVE databases, OWASP guidelines, threat intelligence feeds, and vulnerability scan results

• Develop document parsing, chunking, cleaning, and vectorization systems for security knowledge bases

• Integrate AI capabilities with security platforms (SIEM systems, ticketing systems like Jira, vulnerability scanners)

• Work closely with backend teams to deploy models via APIs and ensure sub-second inference latency

Model Optimization & Production

• Research and apply fine-tuning techniques (LoRA, PEFT) to adapt LLMs for cybersecurity-specific tasks

• Implement LLMOps best practices for model versioning, monitoring, and continuous improvement

• Monitor production performance, continuously improving accuracy, reducing false positives, and maintaining compliance with security standards (OWASP Top 10, ISO 27001)

ML Models & Security Automation

• Develop ML models for vulnerability risk scoring using severity, impact, likelihood, and business context

• Build supervised learning systems to reduce false positives in security alerts and vulnerability scans

• Create automated remediation recommendation systems that generate patches, configuration changes, and code fixes

• Implement adversarial robustness techniques to ensure AI systems withstand security-focused attacks

Qualifications

Must-Haves

• Strong understanding of large language models (OpenAI GPT, Claude, LLaMA, Mistral) and their application to security use cases

• Hands-on experience with RAG systems, vector databases, and retrieval pipelines for knowledge-intensive applications

• Proficiency in Python with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and LLM tools (LangChain, LlamaIndex)

• Proficiency in prompt engineering for complex security analysis tasks

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerized deployment (Docker/Kubernetes)

• Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals (vulnerability assessment, threat intelligence, security operations)

Bonus Points

• Experience with cybersecurity tools and frameworks (SIEM, vulnerability scanners, penetration testing tools)

• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, CVE databases, and security compliance standards (ISO 27001, NIST)

• Experience fine-tuning LLMs or parameter-efficient tuning (LoRA, PEFT) for domain-specific applications

• Background in MLOps/LLMOps for production AI pipeline management and monitoring

• Experience with adversarial ML and AI security best practices

• Background in multimodal AI (combining text, code, and security data)

• Contributions to AI/NLP research, cybersecurity tools, or open source projects
