Job Summary: The Finance, Accounting, and Tax Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of financial operations, accounting functions, and tax compliance within the organization. This role involves overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. The Finance, Accounting, and Tax Manager also provides strategic financial guidance to support business objectives and decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

  1. Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize the organization’s financial performance.
  2. Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  3. Monitor financial metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the company’s financial health and performance.
  4. Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support operational needs and investment opportunities.
  5. Identify areas for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and efficiency improvement initiatives.

Accounting Oversight:

  1. Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting.
  2. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) in financial reporting and record-keeping.
  3. Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of financial records and transactions.
  4. Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies during financial audits and examinations.

Tax Planning and Compliance:

  1. Develop tax strategies to optimize the organization’s tax position and minimize tax liabilities.
  2. Prepare and file corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations.
  3. Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and regulations that may impact the organization’s tax planning and compliance obligations.
  4. Manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

  1. Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and forecasting to support business planning and decision-making.
  2. Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for senior management, board of directors, and stakeholders.
  3. Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and risk management.

Team Leadership and Development:

  1. Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
  2. Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement within the finance and accounting function.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance and operational excellence across the organization.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Proven experience (5 years) in financial management, accounting, and tax compliance roles, preferably in a managerial capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and effectively.
  • Leadership abilities, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Typical office environment, with occasional overtime required during peak periods or financial close.
