Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Minimum of 3 years in similar role & level.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations, particularly in the retail sector.
Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare, review, and present accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making.

Accounting Operations:
Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all accounting records and transactions.
Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Compliance and Auditing:
Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring all audit findings are addressed promptly.

Budgeting and Forecasting:
Develop and manage the annual budgeting process, including the preparation of financial forecasts.
Monitor and report on budget variances, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Cost Management:
Analyze and manage manufacturing costs, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
Implement cost control measures and monitor their effectiveness.

Internal Controls:
Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
Continuously review and improve accounting processes and procedures.

Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team members’ skills and performance.

Systems Management:
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and software.
Ensure the integration of financial systems with other business systems to enhance reporting and efficiency.
