Responsibilities

• Verifying the accuracy of vendor bills before making weekly operational payments inclusive of staff claims
• Update & maintain accounting journals, ledgers, and other records detailing business transactions and entering data into our accounting system (Netsuite)
• Ensuring payments are recorded to the correct account and tax codes, differentiating between expenses and capitalizable assets
• Communicate with external clients via email, respond promptly to their requests, and answer any related queries
• Maintain proper filing of soft and hard copy documents
• Compiling data for tax returns or submissions
• Maintain intercompany transactions and fixed assets register
• Responsible for improving the workflow and automation process to ensure that routine tasks are being done effectively and constantly find ways to increase efficiency without compromising on quality
• Assist with other ad-hoc tasks 

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma / Bachelor degree in Finance / Accountancy or equivalent
• Ideally 1-2 years of working experience in Accounts Payable or General Accounting function, preferably familiar in working with multiple transaction currencies 
• Good with numbers, detail-oriented, self-starter, and fast learner with an excellent service attitude
• Good understanding of Microsoft Office Suites, especially Excel
• Ability to communicate fluently in English 
• Experienced in using Netsuite or other ERPs would be a plus
• Experience in the Fintech or E-commerce industry will be a plus
