Job Summary
The role of Account Manager for BD is to develop sales growth in assigned accounts by implementing business strategies, marketing plans, pricing policies, promotional programs and customer service initiatives. The position reports directly to Sales and Marketing Leader.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve profitable sales growth through implementation of business strategy, marketing plans, pricing policies, promotional programs and customer service initiatives within his/her own accounts as well as identifying new opportunities within those accounts.
- Ensure customers are satisfied with our products and services and resolve any issues promptly.
- Promote BD products and services at all levels of each account organization.
- Provide feedback on market trends, competitor activity and changes in customer needs.
- Assist with training and educating staff on BD products and services.
- Coordinate the implementation of clinical trials, training sessions, symposiums etc.
- Implement quality control procedures and practices including managing complaints.
- Plan and organize product demonstrations, seminars, conferences, trade shows and other events.
- Identify tender opportunities and prepare submissions.
- Communicate regularly with key opinion leaders and thought leaders in respective therapeutic areas.
- Monitor local advertising and promotion activities to ensure compliance with regulations and company policy.
- Represent BD at professional meetings and associations as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor Degree (S1) in Biomedical Sciences or equivalent
- 5 years relevant experience in medical devices industry
- Previous working experience in hospital setting will be added advantage
- Strong knowledge of medical device industry
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Good negotiation skills
- High level of computer literacy
- Fluent English speaker
