Job description & requirements
Job Responsibilities:
Faculty Member Activities:
- Perform Teaching Activities:
o Disseminate and impart basic or applied knowledge to students
o Assist students with the learning process
o Assessing student’s learning
- Perform Research Activities:
o Participate actively in specific research projects
o Propose new topics for research projects
o Maintain a program of research, scholarship, or artistic creativity through which they should aspire to a national or international reputation as scholars and promotion to the rank of Professor (academic specialist rank)
o Contribute to their disciplines through publishing articles and books, presenting research findings, or disseminating their work to external audiences
- Perform Community Services:
o Participate actively in community service programs
o Propose a new program for community service
Content Development & Evaluation Activities:
- Enrich and maintain course material
- Review and revise course material quality by conducting Course Outline/Online Resources review and revision (every semester)
- Assist the course and examination content preparation, evaluation, development, and improvement to support the accreditation process
- Provide input for obsolete courses and teaching materials to the Dean/Head of Department/Program
- Coordinate other lecturers related to course development and evaluation process, as well as provide mentoring, coaching, and feedback
- Ensure the quality of teaching delivery for all classes according to standard
- Ensure on-time completion of content development & evaluation process
Operational Management:
- Assist the Deputy Head of Department / Program in monitoring the activities related to the curriculum and teaching process (in coordination with SCC/CCC/Head of Concentration):
o Maintain the operational table
o Maintain the composition of course grade estimation in every exam (UAS/UTS/TM)
o Monitor the implementation of peer review and sit in activities
o Prepare the partner and Faculty Member for the global learning system
- Assist the Deputy Head of the Department / Program in performing and monitoring the activities related to the implementation of the internship program (in collaboration with BINUS Career center and other respective units)
- Assist the Deputy Head of the Department / Program in performing the following activities:
o Set a schedule for discussion sessions with problematic Faculty Members
o Assist in the fulfillment of Faculty Members’ quota
o Assist in monitoring the qualification development (JJA) of Faculty Members (including supporting data)
- Assist the Deputy Head of Department / Program in managing compliance activities and conducting document support for Borang or other national/international standards
- Assist the Deputy Head of Department / Program in coordinating collaboration and internationalization activities with HIPP:
o Build relationships with students and Faculty Members for inbound or outbound programs
o Arrange visiting lecturers or professors from other national and international universities
o Monitor the implementation of short course activities
- Assist the Deputy Head of Department / Program in coordinating with the respective unit/center related to employability and entrepreneurship activities:
o Monitor the achievement of graduates who works at global companies, and become entrepreneurs
o Monitor the achievement the employability and entrepreneurship skills o Monitor implementation of the Enrichment Program
- Assist the Deputy Head of the Department / Program in implementing alumni activities (e.g. alumni engagement & endowment)
- Conduct laboratory scheduling activities (in coordination with the Head of the Laboratory/Studio)
Operational Teaching Activities:
- Assist the Deputy Head of the Department / Program in performing and monitoring activities related to teaching operational activities:
o Monitor the Faculty Members’ attendance status in teaching preparation and examination meeting (e.g. mid & final exam meetings)
o Appoint the respective Faculty Member for teaching assignment o Finalize the teaching schedule for the approval process
o Validate the examination schedule made by the respective operation Department / Program
o Inform the teaching and examination activities of all Faculty Members and students
o Monitor the teaching activities using the web reporting
o Monitor the attendance of all Faculty Members o Monitor the process of Faculty Members’ substitution
o Monitor the collection and distribution of examination materials o Monitor the timely process of examination score submission
o Review the student’s examination score per semester
o Verify the process of examination score complaint
o Appoint thesis advisors and examiners based on their qualifications
o Assist the Head of Department / Program with the approval process of the student thesis to proceed with thesis defense
o Ensure the thesis defense session run according to the schedule
o Prepare the substitution for thesis examiners
o Prepare the thesis guidelines
o Resolve student complaints o Resolve the case between students and lecturers
o Monitor Department / Program meetings related to Faculty Member
o Monitor PDPT data o Register students, and prepare the readiness for national/international competitions
o Monitor the Department / Program website
o Monitor the student internship process arrangement
- Assist the Deputy Head of Department / Program in supporting practicum activities (in coordination with the Head of Laboratory/Studio to ensure the practicum scheduling process)
Student Activities:
- Assist the Deputy Head of the Department / Program in monitoring activities related to student activities by coordinating related Units:
o Monitor the Freshmen Enrichment Program, BINUS Festival of Innovation and Enterprise, and other programs
o Monitor the student organization activities, especially HMJ (Himpunan Mahasiswa Jurusan) and the student community
o Monitor and review periodically the student’s academic achievement
o Plan, implement and monitor the improvement activities related to student’s academic and non-academic achievement
o Coordinate the improvement activities related to student soft skills and attitude
o Monitor the student’s study period and the fulfillment of credits (SKS) (periodically)
o Monitor the student’s community services implementation (periodically) Management
Support Activities:
- Provide Report to direct Supervisor
- Suggest improvement process related to activities in the area of responsibilities (especially related to time concern, effort, and cost)
- Perform activities related to Quality Management System
- Perform additional tasks related to key responsibilities as required by Direct Supervisor
Job Requirements:
- Doctoral or Master Degree in Information Systems
- Minimum 4+ years of working experience in the related program
