Manulife Indonesia Bancassurance Centre of Excellence is Responsible for strategic direction, governance and management of the COE which will provide the full breadth of services to support recruitment and training operations across distribution channels. This position is also accountable for the implementation of sales talent acquisition and capability development efforts by planning and managing COE programs to support distribution channels

We are looking for someone with: 

  • University Degree graduated.
  • At least 10 years of experience Bancassurance Distribution function is required; experience of Bancassurance recruitment and Bancassurance Development would be advantageous

  • Leadership skills in achieving department, project, and individual objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence management at various levels of the organization.

On the job you will: 

Strategy

  • Oversee differentiated work-force strategy, recruitment strategy, training and evaluation framework, competency framework to fit the strategic sales direction for each distribution channel in Manulife
  • Work closely with the Global and/or Regional Centre of Excellence to ensure strategic alignment and collaboration ties
  • Oversee the development of the Manpower Strategy for the short and long-term, based on the sales targets and business imperatives for Agency, PB, EB and etc; to ensure that the right talent is acquired in a timely fashion, to minimise impact to sales
  • Work closely with the individual Distribution channel heads to understand their sales strategy and ensure the COE partners with them closely to fulfil talent acquisition and development needs
  • Strive for innovation in capability development and learning needs fulfilment to ensure that training curriculum development and dissemination can take place in a manner that is best-in class
  • Ensure that the Training and Recruitment Support Hub operates in a manner that is operationally efficient, streamlined and cost-effective

Planning

  • Endorse the short-term and long-term recruitment strategy for distribution channels
  • Oversee the strategy development for fulfilment of workforce gaps in every distribution channel; including the sourcing management strategy
  • Endorse the training needs analysis and training strategy across distribution channels
  • Coordinate the effective planning and execution of recruitment and training initiatives across channels
  • Endorse the recruitment and training guidelines, policies and processes
  • Develop sales talent movement principles (transfer, promotion, demotion), as required

Day to Day Operations

  • Drive high quality local operational recruiting standards to ensure process excellence in sourcing channel, job posting, screening, short-list, interview, offer, etc
  • Oversee the channels that are being leveraged upon to fulfil sourcing requirements and drive improvement efforts and/or refinement of strategy, as required
  • Ensure planning, development and training program are sufficient, using knowledge of effective methods to meet the training need and target
  • Review and evaluate training programs for compliance with the established standard

Leadership and People Management

  • Through leadership behaviors, create and maintain an energetic, positive, and collaborative culture
  • Develop team to ensure that the highest quality of hiring practices are in place and further ensure continuous improvement in curriculum development and training delivery
  • Lead resourcing management, capability development and talent administration (i.e. licensing) in alignment with distribution channels and Manulife Regional strategy and guidelines
  • Manage, coach, and empower a team to lead each functional to deliver on the key business metrics and ensure compliance with functional areas’ policies, procedures and controls
  • Develop recruitment and training KPIs for COE team to ensure measurable success
  • Track employee goals and conduct employee performance reviews
  • Coach and provide career development advice to team members
  • Responsible for the knowledge management initiatives (build and support services)

Personal Development

  • Develop recruitment, training, and support KPIs to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of each function within Recruitment and Training COE
  • Periodic reporting to Chief of Distribution and Head of Distribution Channels on Recruitment and T&D activities, costs, and performance as well as progress against KPIs and distribution channels’ target goal and objectives
