What will you do
        

  • Identify potentially attractive low
    carbon solution business opportunities for evaluation across multiple
    products and value chains (Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), Hydrogen
    (H2), Ammonia (NH3), and Biofuels)
  •     

    • Help develop, define, and deliver EM offer in Low Carbon Solutions and associated customer value proposition

        

  • Develop selected opportunities from inception through to investment decision 
  •     

  • Primary interface and relationship
    management to LCS customer & partner base (eg: third party
    customers, government agencies and ministries, national oil companies);
    develop deep and diverse network across the different parts of the LCS
    value chain
  •     

  • Understand, construct, and negotiate
     / execute agreements for commercialization of new opportunities in LCS;
     serve as internal interface for commercialization of opportunities to
    ensure alignment and as necessary, obtain endorsement; employ ExxonMobil
     and industry commercial practices, processes, and tools 
  •     

  • Support development, prioritization, and selection of commercial concepts for business development opportunities
  •     

  • Leverage policy / support and
    technologies to converge on attractive business case; able to integrate
    commercial and technical attributes while progressing opportunities
  •     

  • Provide commercial input to early
    opportunity framing / business development (eg: value chain risk sharing
     models, operating structure considerations, etc) and commercial support
     throughout the life of the project
  •     

  • Support or lead negotiation and implementation of associated commercial agreements 
  •     

  • Assess and develop merger and acquisition opportunities as alternatives for EM developed opportunities
  •     

  • Represent EM LCS in Trade
    Associations / Government Advisory roles as well as partnering with
    public and government affairs (P&GA) on advocacy; attend conferences
     and trade fairs to represent company, network, and articulate offer
  •     

  • Provide competitive & market insights to help support market strategies and supply analysis

About you

Skills & Qualifications

        

  • A good Honors Degree in Engineering or Business from a recognized University
  •     

  • At least 15 years of relevant
    experience working business development (business development in more
    nascent industries preferred but not required)
  •     

  • Demonstrated broad business acumen,
    can deal with ambiguity and exceptional at balancing corporate intent
    with delivering pragmatic solutions; strategic thinker
  •     

  • Engenders deep credibility with
    customers / partners through trust, consistency, and strong
    interpersonal skills; externally focused
  •     

  • Proven ability to develop and
    maintain strong relationships with applicable external counterparts such
     as Governments, IOCs, and other key stakeholders and partners
  •     

  • Experience in identifying commercial
     opportunities to create and capture value across value chains (low
    carbon value chains preferred but not required)
  •     

  • Strong courage of conviction, bias
    to action, strategic agility and able to clearly communicate to
    influence key outcomes; can leverage a diverse workforce to deliver
    results
  •     

  • Communicates clearly and can manage complex issues effectively, able to clearly articulate business case
  •     

  • High performing individual with
    strong personal drive and accountability mindset; hands on approach;
    flexible and adaptable to time pressures and changing priorities
  •     

  • Effective at collaborating and networking
  •     

  • Strong leadership skills and able to work beyond areas of direct responsibility
  •     

  • Commercial acumen including deep
    knowledge of commercial terms, offtake agreements or supply contracts
    with customer / partners, customer contracts, partner commercial
    frameworks 
  •     

  • Knowledgeable with large scale business to business or business to government contracting
  •     

  • Understanding of energy transition landscape including evolving policy / regulatory frameworks preferred but not required
  •     

  • Flexible to travel across region as business needs dictate
