The UN Information Centre is looking for an individual for Search Engine Optimization Support, to review the SEO performance of the current website, recommend improvements and train UNIC staff on executing those improvements. The SEO expert will produce a report with analysis and actionable items for concrete improvement and will follow it up with hands-on training and advice.

Responsibilities

With the adoption of the 2030 Agenda – a plan of action for people, planet and prosperity – UN Member States including Indonesia pledged to ensure “no one will be left behind” and to “endeavor to reach the furthest behind first”. Under the leadership of the UN Resident Coordinator (RC), the UN Country Team (UNCT) in Indonesia (23 Agencies, Funds and Programmes and Non-Resident Agencies with more than 2,000 personnel) provide policy advice, technical support and knowledge sharing on a host of development priorities, outlined in the UN’s five-year Strategy in Indonesia entitled the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) 2021-2***. As the principal source of information about the United Nations system in Indonesia, the UN Information Centre (UNIC) Jakarta supports the RC and the UNCT to promote greater public understanding of the aims and activities of the United Nations by communicating the results of the work and impact of the UN to a wider audience. The bilingual UN country website (*************** and ***************) plays a major role in this effort. The UN Information Centre is looking for an individual for Search Engine Optimization Support, to review the SEO performance of the current website, recommend improvements and train UNIC staff on executing those improvements. The SEO expert will produce a report with analysis and actionable items for concrete improvement and will follow it up with hands-on training and advice. Duties and Responsibilities

• A thorough review of the UN in Indonesia websites (*************** and ***************) and the provision of an analysis of the current SEO position of these sites
• An analysis of areas for improvement
• A list of concrete, actionable recommendations divided into 1) editorial, 2) site maintenance and 3) infrastructure/template improvements
• A presentation to and Q&A session with UNIC Jakarta staff of the findings and of the list of recommendations
• Training to relevant UNIC staff on new and improved practices for a more SEO oriented work
• A follow up review within 2-4 months after the training, with evaluation of improvements and further recommendations to UNIC of corrective actions to be taken
• Assistance with other SEO-related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications/special skills

Bachelor’s degree from information technology, digital communication, digital marketing or related field. At least seven years of experience in developing and implementing SEO strategies/plans and improving the search engine performance of clients; Experience in developing SEO studies with proven results when implemented

Languages

Fluency in oral and written English is required. Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia will be an asset.
