Head of Human Resources (HR) is responsible to oversee full spectrum of Human Resources department for the organization both at operational excellence and regulatory compliance as well as at strategic level such as HR programs, at corporate level through to stores.

Description

  • Lead and drive HR team to manage the entire employee life cycle and deliver high standards of HR services
  • Assess, drive and lead end-to-end HR cycle from HR operations excellence, recruitment and employer branding, training and talent development, talent management, performance management, employee engagement and culture
  • Partner and work alongside business leader as the interface of business and talents to ensure business objectives are met through effective and aligned HR agendas and programs
  • Ensure people policies and processes are reviewed from time to time to keep with current industry trends and comply with regulation
  • Identify and assess an organisation’s current and future core capabilities required to deliver against business strategy in a competitive operating environment and changing business landscape and economic conditions
  • Identify strategies for managing and resolving organisational challenges in the areas of ethics, culture and performance
  • Influence best practices by leveraging lessons learned from HR community and marketplace trends, setting the trend and innovating HR solutions to position the organisation as an employer of choice
  • Integrate global best practices in formulating HR strategies to position the organisation as a recognised leader in the industry
  • Lead the team in managing complex organizational change and provide insights and guidance to deal with the resulting ambiguity to ensure minimal disruptions to the operations within the organisation and employees are engaged
  • Position the HR function as a business partner with other business leaders by forging closer relationships and working collaboratively with them to add value to business and employee agenda
  • Maintains efficient staffing levels, helping Division/Department Heads to maximize productivity in a fast-paced and dynamic retail sector whilst also be able to minimize unnecessary payroll costs

Profile

  • Proven track record in driving end-to-end HR department with total over 15-20 years of working experience and at least 8 years of managerial/leadership experience
  • Strong and solid understanding about end-to-end HR cycle both at HR operations and strategic level
  • Demonstrated leadership skill to lead the HR team and partner with CEO/ Business leader as well as HODs
  • Strong exposures in fast-paced and dynamic customer-oriented industry, ideally within retail space or at least FMCG with sizeable operational headcounts
  • Strong business acumen to work with business leader to translate and align business objectives to people programs and strategies whilst also working closely with HQ/ regional team and suggest best in country practice
  • Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholders management
  • Proven experience as a hands-on leaders to drive programs as well as strategic partner to the business
  • Strong data-analytics and critical thinking with agile mindset
  • Experiences in dynamic functional department
  • Strong People developer, great listener and learner, and with the ability to formulate HR policies to support team members and business outcomes
  • Strong communicator with fluency in English
