About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our talented team at Formulatrix Indonesia. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge special purpose machines that are crucial to our client’s manufacturing operations. Based in Central Java, this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within a dynamic and innovative company.

What you’ll be doing

  • Design and develop custom special purpose machines, especially injection molding machines, from concept to commissioning.

  • Conduct feasibility studies, technical analysis, and cost estimation.

  • Prepare detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and documentation using CAD software (SolidWorks or Onshape).

  • Collaborate closely with electrical, automation, and software teams to integrate mechanical systems with controls.

  • Supervise the assembly, installation, and testing of machines.

  • Provide technical support during and after machine deployment.

  • Manage project timelines and budgets, then coordinate with vendors or suppliers as needed.

What we are looking for

  • Has at least 5 years industry experience on design engineering of mechanical/mechatronics (special purpose, & design mechanism).

  • Has experience in mechanism design (motion analysis, kinematic concepts, machine elements).

  • Has experience in manufacturing a mechanical instruments/robotic.

  • Skilled in debugging issues in mechatronic systems.

  • Accurate, attention to detail, tactful, and a fast learner are a must.

  • Have superb creativity, logic, vision, and problem-solving skills.

  • Willing to work in Salatiga.

Nice to have

  • Has experience in injection plastic processes.

  • Good knowledge of plastic materials and sheet metal.

  • Good communication skills in English, both oral and written.
