To provide geotechnical expertise and support in ensuring slope stability, infrastructure integrity, and ground control within the designated project areas. The position involves conducting geotechnical data collection, analysis, and monitoring to mitigate risks and enhance safety. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing geotechnical and hydrogeological monitoring systems, drilling programs, and associated quality control measures.

Some of your duties will include:

• Provide geotechnical recommendations related to slope stability, infrastructure, drill pads, rig access, main logistics roads, and ground control.

• Conduct geotechnical data collection, quality assurance and analysis from drill cores, geophysical recordings, and hydrogeological boreholes.

• Oversee drilling, sampling, and testing programs to assess soil and rock properties.

• Perform installation and maintenance of various geotechnical and hydrogeological monitoring instruments, including manual crack meters, piezometers, and other equipment, in accordance with established procedures.

• Read and manage geotechnical and hydrogeological monitoring instruments based on the monitoring schedule, ensuring compliance with procedural controls.

• Responsible for downloading geotechnical and hydrogeological monitoring data into centralized databases.

• Check and report the condition of all monitoring equipment and drilling materials, including inventory levels, damage, or usability.

• When time allows, conduct geotechnical mapping within exploration areas, particularly in resource development projects, in line with standard procedures.

• Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner, following established project priorities.

• Perform other duties as assigned, including preparing routine reports and ensuring that all geotechnical data is accurately collected.

• Comply with all pertaining environmental laws and regulations in Indonesia.

• Comply with all laws and regulations applicable in Indonesia on Occupational Health, Safety and Mine as well as those required under the Regulation of the Ministry of Mines and Energy No. 26 of 2018 and Decree of Ministry of Mines and Energy No. 1827 K/30/MEM/2018.

• Comply with all SHLP, Environment and Social Responsibility requirements under PTAMNT Management System, PTAMNT vision, mission, and values.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering, Mining Engineering, or Civil Engineering.

• 2 years of experience in geotechnical engineering

• Minimum GPA of 3.00 for fresh graduates.

• Familiar with basic geotechnical concepts, including soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and slope stability.

• Ability to interpret and analyze geotechnical data.

• Good report-writing skills and attention to detail in data documentation.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a hands-on, practical approach.

• Physically fit and willing to conduct extensive fieldwork in challenging or remote environments.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

• Basic knowledge of safety regulations and field operational standards.

• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high standards of data quality, safety, and operational discipline.

• Willing to be assigned in a remote area.
